CivilPrepFE — Terms of Use
Updated: June 22, 2026
Welcome to CivilPrepFE. These Terms of Use ("Terms") set out the rules for using everything we offer — our websites, mobile apps, content, and related products and services (together, the "Services"). Whenever you open or use the Services, you're confirming that you accept these Terms along with every law and regulation that applies to you, and that keeping your own use lawful is your responsibility. Anyone who doesn't accept these Terms may not use the Services. Our content and branding are covered by copyright and trademark protections.
1. Use of the Services and Intellectual Property
Access to the Services never transfers any intellectual-property rights to you, whether in the Services themselves or in the material you reach through them. Everything that makes up the Services — text, media, and the underlying software and scripts, JavaScript included — belongs to CivilPrepFE and is shielded by copyright and trademark law.
We extend you a narrow permission — personal, non-commercial, and non-transferable — to use the Services and to make a single temporary download of any material we mark as downloadable, strictly for your own short-term viewing. What you receive is permission to use, not ownership. Under it, you may not:
- alter, copy, reproduce, or build anything new out of the material;
- put the material or any portion of the Services toward commercial ends, or display it publicly in any setting;
- sell, swap, resell, pass along, or otherwise profit from any part of the Services;
- disassemble, reverse engineer, or repurpose any of the code, JavaScript included;
- strip out any ownership or copyright markings; or
- hand the material to someone else or host a copy of it on another server.
Breaking any of these limits ends the permission on its own, and CivilPrepFE can withdraw it whenever it chooses. Once the permission ends, anything you've downloaded — on a screen or on paper — must be deleted or thrown away.
2. Registration Obligations
Signing up means you confirm you're old enough to enter a contract that holds up legally. You also commit to giving us details that are truthful, precise, and current when you register (your "Registration Data"), and to refreshing them whenever they change. Should any of what you submit turn out to be false, mistaken, stale, or missing — or should we have a fair reason to think so — we may freeze or close your account and turn away any further use of the Services, now or later.
3. Account Access and Security
Completing a subscription requires a working email address and additional information if we ask for at sign-up. Each account belongs to one individual; passing a single login around among several people isn't allowed. Guarding your password and keeping your account secure is on you, and CivilPrepFE accepts no responsibility for losses that trace back to a lapse in that duty.
4. Subscriptions and Access
You can create a free account, though what's free may differ between the web app and the iOS app and can change over time. A free account does not unlock what we offer. Reaching the rest, including most of our study content, calls for a paid plan, and the exact features and caps you get depend on which plan you pick. We process payments through Stripe, a reputable payment provider; rather than holding your card details ourselves, we keep only a token shared with Stripe so customers can be recognized.
5. Refund Policy
A refund is never something CivilPrepFE is required to give. With any subscription, you have a 14-day window from your payment to ask for one — but we may turn the request down if the account shows moderate use during that stretch, such as starting more than two practice questions/exams. Requests tied to digital access cards are weighed individually, with the redemption date mattering more than the purchase date; once a year has passed since purchase, a card no longer qualifies. Renewals of existing access can't be refunded at all.
6. Email Communications
Creating an account, free or paid, counts as your consent for us to email the address you signed up with. Those messages can cover things like new features, how-to guides, FE exam and content news, revisions to these Terms or our Privacy Policy, reminders about your subscription, promotions, and routine system alerts. Job-listing emails are available too, but opting into them isn't a condition of registering. Every message carries an "unsubscribe" link, so you can step away from any of these at any point. We may send mail ourselves or rely on an outside delivery service.
7. Acceptable Use and Unauthorized Access
Only real people may hold accounts — anything set up by bots or automated scripts is off-limits. You also agree not to:
- tamper with, adapt, or break into the Services, or dress up another site to look as though CivilPrepFE stands behind it;
- pull apart or reuse any publicly visible code, JavaScript included, all of which CivilPrepFE owns;
- spread worms, viruses, or anything else built to cause damage;
- run a modified copy of our software or try to slip past our access controls;
- reach the Services through anything other than the interface we provide;
- point automated tools at our site, servers, or database, or get in by any other artificial route;
- work around features using custom HTTP requests or similar tricks, or push the Services past what an ordinary person would treat as normal, permitted use; or
- exploit a gap or mistake on the site that any reasonable person would recognize as unintended.
To keep the Services running cleanly, CivilPrepFE may, entirely at its own discretion, cut off access from particular IP addresses at any time.
8. Cancellation of Service
CivilPrepFE may end your service on its own initiative in situations such as these: you breach these Terms; your activity strays from the usage patterns we'd normally expect; you try to damage CivilPrepFE's standing or interfere with how it operates; the cancellation answers a support request; or a law-enforcement body sends us an abuse complaint about what you've done. Ending service from your side doesn't wipe out the data-related obligations these Terms describe — those stay live.
9. Modifications to the Services
The Services are always in motion as we refine them, which means features can be introduced, retired, paused, or shut down. Because of that, the material you encounter might contain technical slips, typos, or other mistakes; we don't promise it's flawless, complete, or current, and we don't pledge to keep it updated. You're free to walk away from the Services whenever you like, and CivilPrepFE is equally free to stop offering them or to set fresh limits at any time. Neither you nor any third party can hold CivilPrepFE liable for any change, pause, or shutdown of the Services.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
Everything we provide comes to you "as is" and "as available," carrying no guarantees whatsoever. CivilPrepFE offers no warranties of any sort — spoken or implied — and turns away all of them, including any implied promise of merchantability, suitability for a specific purpose, or freedom from infringement. We make no claims about how accurate, dependable, or effective the material is, nor about anything reached through sites we link to.
11. Limitation of Liability
So far as the law allows, CivilPrepFE bears no responsibility for lost earnings, revenue, or data, for monetary harm, or for damages that are indirect, special, incidental, consequential, exemplary, or punitive — including losses tied to missing data or profit or to interrupted operations — even where we were warned, in speech or in writing, that such harm might occur. To the extent the law permits, whatever CivilPrepFE might owe on any claim arising under these Terms — implied warranties included — tops out at the sum you actually paid us for the Services (or, if we'd rather, at providing those Services to you a second time). Under no circumstances are we answerable for harm that couldn't reasonably have been foreseen. Since certain places forbid some of these limits on implied warranties or on liability for incidental or consequential harm, parts of this may simply not apply to you.
12. Links to Other Sites
Now and then the Services point to outside websites or resources that sit beyond our control and that we haven't vetted. You accept that CivilPrepFE isn't accountable for whether those destinations work or for what they contain, doesn't vouch for them, and can't be blamed — directly or otherwise — for any harm connected to your use of, or trust in, what they host. Visiting any linked site is something you do at your own risk.
13. Contacting CivilPrepFE
Reach us anytime at support@civilprepfe.com. When you write to CivilPrepFE, you hand us a perpetual, worldwide, and non-exclusive right to use any concept, information, design, or other material your message contains — unless the CivilPrepFE board has agreed otherwise with you in writing beforehand. Please keep commercially sensitive details about your own business out of what you send. Nothing you send us falls under any confidentiality obligation unless the board has signed off in advance in writing. Email being neither secure nor guaranteed, treat a message as having reached us only once you get a reply someone has actually written, and consider any email exchange casual and non-binding unless CivilPrepFE says otherwise in writing.
14. Governing Law
Any dispute touching on the Services will be settled under the laws of the jurisdiction where CivilPrepFE is based, setting aside any conflict-of-law rules.
15. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the freedom to revise these Terms — or any extra terms attached to a Service — at any time, whether to track new laws or to match changes in what we offer, so it's worth checking back periodically. Notice of any revision will appear on this page. Updates never reach backward into the past and won't take effect until at least seven days after we post them, except that revisions covering brand-new functions or required for legal reasons apply the moment they're posted. Sticking with the Services once an update is live signals that you accept it; if you don't, stop using the Services.
16. General
These Terms frame the relationship between you and CivilPrepFE and grant no rights to outside third parties. If you slip up and we hold off on responding, that silence isn't us surrendering any right we hold — including the right to act later. Should a court find any part of these Terms unenforceable, the rest carries on in full force. Headings appear purely for ease of reading and carry no legal or contractual weight.
